Terms of Service
1. Who we are
QuotedBy (the "Service") is provided by Alessandro Aldieri, Naples, Italy, VAT number IT09915691217 ("we", "us"). When you use the Service, you enter into an agreement with Alessandro Aldieri. You can contact us at info@quotedby.io.
2. Acceptance
By installing the QuotedBy Chrome extension, using the quotedby.io website or buying a subscription, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you confirm that you can accept these Terms for it.
3. The Service
QuotedBy is a Chrome extension that helps you monitor how AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Google AI Mode and Perplexity mention brands. It works in your own browser, with the accounts you already use on those platforms. Projects, answers and screenshots are stored in your browser.
The Service depends on third-party platforms that we do not control. You are responsible for using those platforms in line with their own terms. Their pages and answers can change at any time, and this can affect how QuotedBy works.
4. Plans and trial
QuotedBy offers a Free plan and a paid Pro plan, with the features and limits described on the pricing page. A 14-day Pro trial starts when you create your second project. When a trial or a subscription ends, Free limits apply again; your data is not deleted.
5. Payments and subscriptions
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Pro is a subscription billed monthly or yearly, in advance, and it renews automatically until you cancel. Prices and applicable taxes are shown at checkout. You can cancel at any time: cancellation stops the next renewal and you keep Pro until the end of the period already paid. Payments are also governed by Paddle's buyer terms. Refunds are described in our Refund Policy.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to break the terms of the AI platforms you use;
- use the Service for fraud, spam or to mislead others;
- infringe the intellectual property or other rights of anyone;
- interfere with the security of the Service, including probing, scanning, scraping or overloading our server, or distributing malware;
- resell, sublicense or provide the Service to third parties as your own product, or try to bypass plan limits.
7. AI features and outputs
The Service collects answers generated by third-party AI platforms and, on Pro, produces summaries and analyses with an AI model. AI-generated content can be inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. You are responsible for the prompts you use, for checking the outputs and for how you use them, including in reports for your clients. Nothing in the Service is legal, financial or professional advice, and we do not guarantee any result in AI answers or search rankings.
If you believe content shown through the Service infringes your rights, write to info@quotedby.io and we will review it promptly.
8. Intellectual property
We own the Service, including the extension, the website, the brand and their content. You keep all rights to your data and to the content you create with the Service. You give us only the rights needed to provide the Service to you, for example to process the text you send for a Pro AI analysis.
9. Availability
We work to keep the Service running well, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or always compatible with every AI platform. We may change, improve or discontinue features.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, including paid features, in case of material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious violations. You can stop using the Service and uninstall the extension at any time.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits or lost data. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will publish the new version on this page with its date and, for important changes, inform Pro subscribers in advance. If you keep using the Service after a change, you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and can bring a claim in its courts.
